I'm still unsure of what you need help with as you haven't explained what has gone wrong. Could you please explain what has gone wrong?
Normally I would take a guess but I am unsure of what could go wrong. The only thing that I can think of is that you cannot upload the images as they are to big? Usually if the file size is to big you have to save it as a .GIF to reduce the filesize.

You can't. You can't use custom HTML on Bebo. You can try and make your own skin and then change the text colours on the sheet thingo to suit you. Thats the only way possible.

Try using paint and go along to image at the top and select atttributes then type in the attributes it says on the uppload graphics page when you upload your skin.(remember each graphic must be a different size. Once you have finished remeber to save it a JPEG.

i make skins all the time, it's easy!!
1) Go on your bebo page...find the button under your profile pic. that says 'Change Skins' click on that..
2) click on the button at the top that says ' roll your own'..click that..
3) click on 'add a new skin'..name that what you want..
4) then you will see the page of a sqaure that says; Change Name/Tags, Upload Graphics, Edit Stylesheet, Preview,
Use this Skin, Delete Skin.
5) click on 'upload graphics'.
6) Go on paint and at the top click 'Image' and then on 'attributes'
7) Then there will be a bit about height and width. You will need to put the dimensions that it says on the bebo uploading page. E.G 760x40 for the nav_bg you will need to put 760 in width and 40 in the height box.
8) on paint the size should change to a wide bar. Then start to create your skin.
9) Once you have done that top bar go to file, save as, name it Nav_bg and MAKE SURE THE FILE TYPE IS JPEG!!
10) Then go on bebo uplaoder and press browse and find the Nav_bg you saved from paint.
11) Then click back to my skins and click preveiw and have a look at it.
12) do the same for the rest like; main_bg and module header etc....
13) then click edit stylesheet and change the colours in html format by typing in html colors in google images and find a code for a colour you like.
14) once you have completed the skin go to use skin and chose option 2..

(I wish i could get them for you, but im at school...no bebeo,lol) but yeah, It'll be something like telling you how large the file should be and you make the different part of your profile, like the comment part, the falsh box, etc. All you need is Paint. I hope i helped a bit!

I use 2pic to make the main background image the right size for a bebo skin.. and i made a good one, but everytime i try to upload it, it says that it is 2 big...to be exact : main_bg file size is too large. Actual is 65912, maximum allowed is 40000, please rectify and upload again....i have the correct perimeters so how do i edit the file size.

I would guess that you'd use an animated GIF file. There's a free GIF animator available called "UnFreez" from www.whitsoftdev.com
If its a simple flashing skin you want, save the two different images that make up the final effect as GIF files. Drag them into the unfreez window and set the frame delay to something suitable (trial and error I'd suggest). Then create the animation.
Simple as that!

You need Adobe Photoshop to make your own. These are what Bebo is looking for. I don't know how to use Photoshop so I can't tell you exactly how to make each part.

a) Navigation Background
File Name: nav_bg.jpg/gif
File Size Max: 10KB
Dimensions: 760x40 pixels
Description: The bottom left hand rectangle measuring 510x25 pixels should have a plain background since the sub-navigation links will cover this area. The graphic should have slightly rounded corners similar to the blue bar above it.
b) Main Background
File Name: main_bg.jpg/gif
File Size Max: 40KB
Dimensions: 760x375 pixels
Description: Main Background.Used as the background to the primary summary user info at the top of the page.The bottom of this image should fade into one solid color. The reason for this is some users will enter a lot of text in their profile, this text will be larger than the area covered by the background. We will therefore include a background color to cover the area when this box expands. NOTE: The sample image does NOT fade into one color, this requirement was not defined until now.
c) Main Footer
File Name: main_footer.jpg/gif
File Size Max: 1KB
Dimensions: 11x15 pixels
Description: Simple bar to mark the end of the main summary section. We only need a small segment of the bar as we will repeat it horizontally.
d) Main Icon
File Name: main_icon.jpg/gif
File Size Max: 1KB
Dimensions: 20x20 pixels
Description: Used below the main profile photo to the left of each option. Give this a transparent background so that it blends in.
e) Module Header
File Name: module_header.jpg/gif
File Size Max: 10KB
Dimensions: 375x44 pixels
Description: Keep space to the left not too busy so that the module title can be read.
f) Module Background
File Name: module_bg.jpg/gif
File Size Max: 10KB
Dimensions: 375x50 pixels
Description: Module Background.Used as a background to the main module body. The top of the graphic should fade to one color that will be used for the bulk of the module background.
g) Module Line
File Name: module_line.jpg/gif
File Size Max: 1KB
Dimensions: 32x3 pixels
Description: A simple graphic to divide multiple postings within a module, such as in the White Board module.
Style Sheets
Once you've uploaded the graphics you can edit the stylesheet to change text colors etc.

I been making skins for bebo now for 3 months. The best thing to use is Macromedia Flash. You can amke and insert moving animations and export them as GIFs. If you use a program such as Photoshop then export or save the file as a GIF (Moving animation) and not a JPG (non moving)

Reply:go to choose skin. You should get all the skins showing and then can go on to look at next page of them. On this page, you will see a link to take you to screen that explains it all.

I`m trying to design my own bebo page, using photoshop .
There about 7 different skin sections to design, I have images %26amp; graphics i want to merge together in photoshop for sections of my skin but i`m restricted by the skin file size.
example- the first part of the skin is the navigation background
the max file size is - 10kb %26amp; can only be a jpeg or gif file, The design i made on ps came to about 65mb (too large a file).
Is it poss to reduce file size on photoshop without compromising the quality of graphic/image ?.
I`m new to using photoshop %26amp; self learning how to do things with images , graphics etc - i`m totally getting into it, I`ve spend hours on it messing around but i`ve gave myself this project to design my own web page on bebo.com .

When you create a skin it says "use this skin" then comes up with three options:
1.Yourself only
2.Anyone
3.Featured Skin
You may of pressed #1 which means only you can use it on your profile...if this is the problem then you may need to just re-upload the skin and click option 2 =]

When you create a skin it says "use this skin" then comes up with three options:
1.Yourself only
2.Anyone
3.Featured Skin
You may of pressed #1 which means only you can use it on your profile...if this is the problem then you may need to just re-upload the skin and click option 2 =]

Well yeah, basically I'll save a blank piece of work for a test, then try to upload it onto bebo, which will then say that the size is too big (the size'll be roughly 3500-something, not matter what I've done to it.)

I am using GIMP to make bebo skins, and i made one and uploaded it, but the only thing that woudlnt upload was the main background.
It said : main_bg file size is too large. Actual is 87668, maximum allowed is 40000, please rectify and upload again
I tried to make the main background again, but it still said that ^^^

How can i make a detailed bebo skin, without going over the KB limit?
its been giving me alot of grief. it says the images i upload for the bebo skin have to be below a certain KB limit. its the main background that im most interested with. it cant go over 40KB, so my black and white GIF extension picture is 170KB. how am i supposed to get the image below 40kb without changing the quality.
even at the lowest quality, its still 40kb, and its all fuzzy and horible. some of the images ive seen for skins look like they could be in the MB league, with amazing texture, quality and colour depth, and i wonder how they do this with a 40kb limit.

If you dont know how to make a bebo skin then clik roll your own on bebo skins clik to add a new skin and clik make graphics or somthing like that then it tell you the sizes to put into the boxes on paint.

I love photoshoping images and using that programe to create skins for bebo. BUT, i HATE haveing to lower image quality just to use the image! I see many skins, perfect quality etc etc. It is hard to get an image the right size and keep its quality, especially the main background.

Why can't I delete this bebo skin??
I want to delete a bebo skin I made ages and ages ago. Its not on anyones profile or mine but whenever i click delete this skin it just says ok skin deleted but it never is as i could still try it on and use it or display it! I want to display my skins using the new My skins widget but i dont want my trial skin to show up!

But unfortunately Bebo has limitations on the file size.. and it reduces the look of the skin making it fuzzy and just making it look bad all round.
I have had a look around bebo and there are skins that are way more complicated and have more brushes etc, that have no loss of quality what so ever!
Please help !!

Bebo skin pretty pictures?
All I can say is offically you are must not use copyrighted artwork in your skins and it must all be yours ALTHOUGH I find website backgrounds on other sites would make great patterns on skins like you just showed me.
My personal fav site backgroun images are:

I used to make bebo skins sometimes as well and I often used msn icons to inspire me : http://www.msndollz.com/main/
