What about all the other missing children?

Will you be praying for them tonight?





What about the ones that vanish without a trace and don't get the luxury of a media storm? Who is tying ribbons to their gates for them or designing Bebo skins for them?





This is what is making me so sad about the whole thing.





People are saying a £20m reward should be put up made up of lottery money - are no one elses missing children worth £20million?

What about all the other missing children?
Precisely, and sticking my neck out, I wouldn't leave my kids to go out for a meal in this country (UK) without proper trusted supervision, so why are they of so special interest to the media. . . right blood almost boiling, last time I look at these questions
Reply:Good question, if they weren't affluent middle class white parents, would there be all this fuss ? Obviously, there should be publicity, but this is on a ludicrous scale.
Reply:Of course they are I have many American friends who regular send me missing children lists to pray and hope for.





I have never forgotten Ben Needam or any other but facts are we do get told very little information on missing children unless it like this strikes a cord.





I hope they find her and it also leads to other missing children because if done once they may have done it many times before and got away with it.
Reply:The missing, the abused, those forced to be child soldiers....... The list goes on and on.





I do pray for them and if this particular case makes people more aware of all the other missing children, then maybe some good will come out of it.
Reply:Hi i totally agree with you what about all the other children.If this little girl had been left in this country the parents would have been hung out to dry but because they are in portugal and doctors they are getting all this help.

Reply:I could not agree with you more, it looks to me like this is another case like the death of lady Diana. Why don't all these do gooders take the £20m reward and give the money to one of the child charities that look after children that are not LOST.


To me it looks like these do gooders are jumping on the bandwagon to get some good PR.


I pray to god the little girl is found but I also pray to god that all child suffering ends and that all parents round the world are re-united with there lost children.
Reply:I know and I agree with you, and the sad part of this is, once the media have dragged as much out of this sad episode as they can, they will look for another story, another angle, and you can guarantee the McCann's will suddenly find they are no longer flavour of the month, the knives will be out, friends will be selling their stories for as much as they possibly can. It's not even about the little girl anymore it's all about them, and people are going to become aggrieved and annoyed and then the focus will be off Madeleine altogether.


Today's story is tomorrows fish and chip wrappers. I've heard that said on the radio at least three times today.


Wouldn't it be nice if every month in the UK the same amount of publicity was given to a different child, perhaps one from a less favourable background?

Reply:I agree entirely that far too many children go missing every year and I feel more should be done to trace them, what is more I feel that we should all start shouting out against it and making life for the people who do this impossible.


We need to make a stand to take back our society from those people who would make it so that everybody is too busy blaming relatives of the missing children to realise the true horror of what is happening.


Children are all precious and as a society I feel we have a obligation, no, duty to safeguard them from anyone who would harm them, in any way.


And as for pedophiles well here is the simple, but not politically correct and not one that goodie two shoes human rights for perverts mob will appreciate...... when found guilty give them a full frontal lobotomy if not lock them up for the remainder of their pathetic little lives. Our children deserve more consideration than they do.
