Is paint.net any good.....?

i make layouts for myspace and bebo skins,


and ive ran out of time with my photoshop trials,


is paint.net any good for making layouts on myspace?


i need it for the graphics and writing.





and also editing the photos i took from holidays.





i am an art student at comprehensive school. and ive been using photoshop in my coursework.





is paint.net the right way to go?

Is paint.net any good.....?
Paint.NET and GIMP should both be fine, unless your course explicitly requires the use of Photoshop (which it shouldn't if since you're pre-university level).
